Gel-free Film

There is no case after the installation pf a web inspection system,where the quality was better than expected.

Often this is a shock for the customer.But no film is gel free-this is technically not possible.

Gels are inherent in polymers and can not be advoided in the extrusion process-everything is a question of the resolution.

A customer of ours supplied films with a 100% detection for 100um gels over years to his customer-however without an inspection system.

For this inspection a resolution of 50um would have been necessary;below 100um clean room conditions are needed.He visited us for trials on the inspection doctor roller and we found out that a resolution of 200um with a 100% detection of 400um gels is absolutely sufficient for his customer.

Fortunately his customer was content for years with the wrong specifications.
