Inspection system installation-then what?

After the installation of an inspection ysytem the defects will be taught and classified quickly.

Typical defects are gels,fish eyes,black specs,holes,insects,oil stains,but also coating voids.And now the real work starts-defining which defects are critical for which product.

This is the task of the quality assurance and application technology and it has to be developed internally or perferably,together with the customer.

It is easy to define a fly in a PE/PET laminate as a NO-Go,but how many gels of which size per m2 are allowed.

After the successful installation and defect teaching i asked the production manager,for which defects and for which defect accumulation an alarm should be set for the operator or respectively the roll should be blocked.he asked his quality manager who responded with:"i do not know this either".

This inspection can be achieved with the development of a film grading-as in school with grades between 1 and 6.So,the operator always knows how the quality of the roll is,and the rol can then be blocked.
